Garden Planning

Filed Under (Tips) by Deepak Shrivastava on 12-11-2009

I am trying to make my garden easier to manage and so I have been asking around to find out what my friends who garden find to be good. One of my friends has recommended some plastic lawn edging because it saves having to clip the edge of the lawn after mowing as the lawn mower can do it all.

I am very keen on this idea and am looking into where I can buy it for and also how to use it correctly. I am also thinking about getting a raised vegetable bed to save me having to dig loads of compost deep into the ground. A friend has grown loads of vegetables in raised beds and they have found it to be very beneficial. I think that it is not only a good idea from this point of view but also because I think that it will make the actual act of gardening easier which is always a great thing! I will be asking around some more people as well for hints and tips as it seems like my friends are full of really useful ideas. I think that perhaps I should look at some books and magazines as well and I might end up with a fantastic garden which is really easy to manage.

Recycle your old computer

Filed Under (Business, Tips) by Deepak Shrivastava on 10-11-2009

Your computer is not environmentally friendly and will create more rubbish if you simply throw them away. We are polluting the world we live in by creating more trash which will never go away. Also, a big concern is that many of the parts in our computer like CRTs and monitors contain lead which can poison the environment.

Computers, if recycled correctly can be used to make other products in an environmentally friendly way. Since the 2006 July 20, it has been illegal to dump your computer monitor or television set in Maine. Computer recycling in Maine is big business creating a lot of profit recycling household e-waste. Computer Recycling MA is not doing badly either. They have banned CRTs from solid waste facility since April 2000. There are approximately 50 recycling companies in Massachusetts generating a lot of recycled products. A signed law effective since 1st July 2007 banns all video display devices from landfills. Computer Recycling New Hampshire, has been working hard since then to recycle the e-waste that gets created every day.

If you care about our planet, then start recycling your e-waste instead of throwing them away. Computer recycling is just a phone call away. So start making your planet clean by recycling your old computer.

Here some tips on how to increase the traffic of your web page:

1. Improve copy writing- your sales copy or squeeze page should be flawless and free from any grammatical or typographical error. The squeeze page should reflect your sincerity in helping your customers choose the right solution to their problems. It should also include an opt-in box that will collect details of your potential customers.

3. Build links and link with sites having good ranking in search engines to help you increase the number of visits and ranking of your website.

4. Write blogs and post it in the websites that you linked. Spread the word over the internet about your product and your website using your blog. Blogs are the “in” thing today especially from the viewpoint of search engines. give attention to this.

5. Know more about problems that the customers are facing. As much as possible, put yourself into their shoes, give them the personal touch in your service, and provide prompt and warm follow-up with them. These are the elements for acquiring new customers and ensure repeat customers. Remember, your business exists to serve the customers, and not just for you to make some profits.

The Benefits of Learning SEO

Filed Under (Affiliate Marketing, Article, Bidding, Business, Google, Links, Organic SEO, SEM, Search Engine, Search Engine Optimization, Seo Services, Tips, Traffic, Website, advertising) by Deepak Shrivastava on 20-11-2008

Learning SEO has a number of benefits, including :

  • Learn to drive traffic to your own websites, selling your own products, and / or affiliate products & services
  • Become an SEO consultant, providing services to other businesses by driving targeted search engine traffic to their websites
  • Opportunities to gain well paid positions within professional SEO companies.

So if you were thinking about learning SEO just to help you to get more traffic to your own website, you’ll now realize that the benefits are not limited to this, in fact there are a number of possibilities & opportunities that come from learning to do SEO properly.

Where do you begin?

Unfortunately leaning SEO properly, isn’t quite as simple as buying a couple of ebooks or programs - if it were, everyone would do it - in order to really learn SEO takes a lot of learning & practise, and can actually take many years.

I started off a number of years ago, with a few ebooks. I thought I knew it all - started working on my own websites - and didn’t get the kind of results I was expecting - in fact I got virtually no search engine traffic to begin with, and felt quite deflated. So I continued to learn & practise until I started to “get” it. I made a number of wrong turns, made mistake after mistake, I tried shortcuts & loop holes which lead me into dead ends, I read good info, bad info, and gradually I started to put the pieces together, finding out for myself what did & didn’t work - and this is how I learned.

What are Web Feeds?

Web feeds are special files, which can be read by almost any computer, and are often used to transfer and deliver important information, news updates, and more. These items can be received by any of several applications known as readers or aggregators. Once the information has been received, an aggregation will display the feed in a more easily readable and “user friendly” format.

Internet users can subscribe to web feeds and get automatic updates, made to the web feed, as soon as they are published. Users can many times view these updates online, in the case of news updates, or you can download the information to your computer, as would be the case if you had a subscription to a podcast or vidcasts.

The process is known as syndication and users can access all the information from one place on a home computer, rather than have to access dozens of websites to skim materials; many times the feeds will contain short summaries of the articles and information available, and to finish reading the content you will have to click through to the website. With web feeds users can now receive any kind of content including news headlines, blog posts, lists, podcasts, and vidcasts (video podcasts).

Three Simple Seo Tips

Filed Under (Affiliate Marketing, Article, Bidding, Business, Google, Internet, Links, Organic SEO, SEM, Search Engine, Search Engine Optimization, Seo Services, Tips, Traffic, Website, advertising) by Deepak Shrivastava on 11-11-2008

Update your site with regular content updates…
Why not ad a blog to your site? The search engines go nuts for websites that regularly update their content. Make that new content keyword rich and the search engines will really eat it up. Regular tweaking and tracking of results is the key, otherwise you’ll never know what works for your site.

Use targeted Keywords and keyword phrases…
There’s a big difference between keywords that will drive traffic to your page but not convert into sales and keywords and keyword phrases that are laser targeted for what you have to offer – meaning MORE SALES!!! This is where a little extra work can make all the difference. The new Google Adword keyword search tool is a fantastic way to research your keyword phrases. It has recently been updated to show actual search numbers for particular keywords and phrases so you have an excellent idea of what your prospects are using to search for you.

Pack your Pay Per Click and SEO campaigns with the same keywords…
If you use the same keywords in your PPC ads and on the capture page of your site, you let your prospects know they’re in the right place. Different keywords in your ads and on your capture page can lead to a disconnect with your potential customers. We want to instantly connect with a prospect and using this technique works wonders. Don’t believe me? Give it a try. You’ll be very pleasantly surprised.

Google Spam Filters

Google, the Search Engine King, gave more emphasis to keep their search results as clean as possible.

Google search engine ranking algorithm has a variety of spam filters in their ranking algorithm that try to remove low quality web sites.

If your web site gets caught by one of these filters, it will be very difficult to get high Google Rankings.

Google Spam Filters are :

1. Google’s Sandbox Filter
2.
Google’s Trust Rank Filter
3. Google’s Domain Age Filter

All the three Google filters take into account the age of a web site. Google Sandbox Filter, implemented by google is a filter that prevents New Web sites from getting high rankings for competitive search terms. This filter is called Google’s Sandbox.

Google’s TrustRank filter is an important filter. Web sites with a high TrustRank get high rankings on Google. The TrustRank of a web site is determined by the age of a web site, the quality of inbound links and the contents of a web site.

The Domain Age filter is another filter that considers the age of your web site. Web sites with old domain names are more likely to get high rankings for competitive keywords on Google.

Make Your Website User Friendly

Filed Under (Affiliate Marketing, Article, Bidding, Business, Google, Links, Organic SEO, SEM, Search Engine, Search Engine Optimization, Seo Services, Tips, Traffic, Uncategorized, Website, advertising) by Deepak Shrivastava on 17-10-2008

Here are three simple tip to make your website user-friendly

1. Navigation:- The navigation on your site is probably its most important element. If visitors find your site confusing or cannot successfully navigate through it, they will leave. Make your navigation bar as simple as possible. One of the worst mistakes is using an expanding navigation bar that makes the visitor scroll over it in order for the menu to reveal their options. Most often, this type of navigation bar has too many choices; your visitor doesn’t know where to go, so they get flustered and leave.

2. Page Load Speed:- It’s hard to believe that some people are still stuck using dial up. Even if you have entered the world of high-speed Internet, no matter what you do, some websites will load slowly. (If you’re frustrated using high-speed Internet, imagine the frustration of those on good ‘ol dial up!)

Page load speed is VERY important. I know that when I am surfing the Internet and I stumble upon a site that loads slowly, I get annoyed, frustrated, and don’t browse the site for very long. If your website is loading slowly, you are probably losing out on valuable customers, no matter what business you are in.

3. Information:- The number one thing that visitors look for is information. They are coming to your site to be educated about your products and/or services and, most of all, how THEY can benefit. With this in mind, it is critical for the information on your website to be accurate, complete and up-to-date. Visitors will leave your site in a split second if the information you are providing is old news.
