Dried Fruit and Nuts For Kids Lunchboxes
Filed Under (Ideas, Tips, new ideas) by Deepak Shrivastava on 08-07-2010
As a parent you certainly face many challenges when it comes to trying to get your children to eat right. Kids today are living in a society that is full of junk food. They are constantly being exposed to ads on TV and the internet tempting them to make unhealthy food choices.
As a parent, you can fight these negative influences by introducing your kids to dried fruits and nuts as snacks. Dropping a package of roasted sunflower seeds into their lunch boxes will not only provide them with a healthy snack, but will teach your children that even healthy snacks taste great.
At home, you can fill your cupboards with things like dried papaya or pineapple. Sweet like candy and delicious, dried fruits of all kinds will provide your young ones with lots of essential vitamins, minerals and fiber for those times between meals when they want something to snack on.
Teaching your children healthy eating habits when they are young will help to assure that they grow up making good food choices. Dried fruit is widely available and it is inexpensive and very satisfying. Be sure to send your child off to school everyday with a lunchbox filled with sensible and healthy foods!
